MAYOR OF KILL TOWN REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES 2025
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN KILL SOME TEAMS? Adeptus Adequate wants you to put your money where your mouth is, and come out and SCRAP FOR THE STRAP.
The Mayor of Killtown Regional Championship is here for the year of 2025 to provide the highest level of competition to the region, and to help to build a healthy environment in which to compete.
The goal of this series is to promote a healthy respectful and competitive environment in the general region in which to play kill team. We would ideally like to give play groups from the different areas within the greater region to travel to other areas to compete. This helps to further our goals of community development, and also the nurturing of a more knowledgeable and skilled player base due to the participation of more players as a whole.
We hope the idea of a series that awards points for participation, and awards further points for winning games/events will provide incentive for players to travel to attend events that they might not otherwise. The varying locations and venues would hopefully project a wide sphere of influence to attract a larger player base over time, and also to share with each other.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
It is the goal of the tournament organizers to schedule 8 rounds of competition to award points for the series. Each player’s 5 best event finishes on the year will count towards their end of year totals. This will hopefully give players enough incentive to travel to multiple events, but does not punish players who cannot attend every event in the series. The goal of this series is to find the highest quality players in the region, not the guys with the most free time on weekends.

The stated goal of the tournament organizers is to provide 8 events throughout the 2025 year, and we will do everything in our power to make that happen.
Once events have completed, the tournament organizers will provide an updated listing of series points in a similar style document.

PAINT SCORING

Paint scoring will be out of 40 points. 30 points for the below rubric, and an additional 10 from the judges personal opinion on the army, with 10 being the best army possible and 0 being fully gray. Ties for the top finishing teams will be broken by anonymous community vote.

* The “smoking boots” award shall be awarded at each event to the player that the competitors feel best exemplifies the spirit of kill team. This includes sportsmanship, most importantly, but also player etiquette within the game, and also in general social context, or other reasons including but not limited to: well painted teams, respect for chivalry, or just a person that is felt to generally make the experience better. This award will be given via a player vote at the end of the competition.
We are firmly committed to community growth and support. While excellence should be awarded, effort, and the process should also be given merit, even if the results of that day do not reflect said process.
