In 2024 five of us piled into a car and drove down to Massachusetts to go to a Warhammer 40k GT under the team name “Nerf Tac Marines.” The games were fun, but the best part was the camaraderie and the decision we made to try and organize better tabletop events here in Vermont. On the drive back we talked about what to call ourselves, and Johannes came up with Adeptus Adequate.
Since then we have worked to build an active, inclusive, and friendly local community, and to organize regular game nights, hobby nights, and tournaments for the games that we play. Our YouTube channel is focused on Warhammer 40k Kill Team, but we have games of Kill Team, Warhammer 40k, Age of Sigmar, and Trench Crusade going on every week here in Burlington. Adeptus Adequate has become the more competitively minded side of our club. Most of our players are located in Northeast Vermont centered around the Burlington area, but we regularly travel for other events in New England.
